Culture Consulting in Denmark
CULTURE

Culture & Value Creation
Culture is a powerful driver of performance, collaboration and long term success. We help leaders and teams strengthen the cultural conditions that support alignment, effective collaboration and stronger execution across the organisation. This includes the wider organisational culture, the working culture within teams and departments, and the national and cross cultural differences that influence collaboration across borders.
Our approach is practical and tailored to the organisation’s context, challenges and ambitions. We help organisations understand how culture shapes behaviour, communication, decision making and performance in everyday practice, and how it can be developed to better support priorities, collaboration and sustainable value creation.
Below please find a case where we have strengthening the collaboration between a team in India and Denmark.
We also offer our proven Values in Action framework, which helps organisations connect culture, behaviour and collaboration more directly to business results, strategic priorities and long term value creation.
In addition, we offer our proven Cultural Agility framework, which helps leaders and teams work more effectively across cultures. By building awareness and practical understanding of cultural differences, we help reduce friction, strengthen collaboration and support stronger global teamwork.
CULTURE CASE

Strengthening cross cultural collaboration around deadlines and delivery
Challenge
Collaboration between a team in Denmark and a team in India was being held back by different assumptions about deadlines, communication and decision making. Timelines had been discussed, but they were not always understood in the same way. The Danish team became frustrated when work was not delivered at the expected time, while the Indian team did not always experience the timeline as fully fixed or final. Differences in communication style and attitudes to hierarchy made it harder to raise concerns early, clarify expectations and address misunderstandings before they affected delivery. As a result, frustration grew on both sides, trust was challenged, and collaboration became less effective.
How we helped
We worked with leaders and team members across both locations to make these differences more visible and easier to address. Through facilitated discussions, cultural awareness training and practical reflection, we helped the teams understand how cultural norms were shaping the way they interpreted deadlines, communicated progress, raised concerns and responded to authority. This created a clearer shared understanding of where expectations differed and why tension had built up.
We also supported the teams in establishing clearer ways of working around timelines, follow up and communication. This included aligning on what a deadline meant, how progress should be communicated, when concerns should be escalated, and how delays or uncertainty should be raised earlier and more directly. Alongside this, we used team dialogue and Insights Discovery to strengthen openness, mutual understanding and trust across the two teams.
Outcome
The teams developed clearer expectations, stronger communication and a better understanding of how cultural differences were affecting collaboration in practice. This reduced frustration around deadlines and delivery, improved trust across locations and created a more effective and constructive way of working together.
How Unite Consulting added value
We helped the teams move beyond visible frustration and understand the underlying patterns shaping their collaboration. By turning a repeated source of tension into a practical dialogue about expectations, communication and ways of working, we helped create clearer agreements, stronger mutual understanding and smoother collaboration across cultures.
